Heimtextil 2022 Exhibitor's Cheat Sheet

The "Heimtextil" is the international trade fair for home and contract textiles. It takes place once a year at the trade show location of Messe Frankfurt, with more than 2,700 exhibitors and roughly 67,000 trade visitors. Heimtextil 2022 is just a week away so here's a handy guide for all the fair attendees.

Important dates

Initially, the trade show was supposed to be held from January 11 to January 14. But due to the worsening of the pandemic situation, the fair has been rescheduled- from June 21 to June 24. How to reach 

Messe Frankfurt is well connected with the world. It takes around 12-8 hours to reach Frankfurt, depending upon where you are coming from. There are three exposition entrances from Frankfurt Airport: City/Festhalle, Galleria, and Portalaus.

Take the S8 or S9 to Frankfurt Central Station (direction Hanau or Offenbach Ost). The S3, S4, S5, and S6 suburban trains stop at "Frankfurt Messe" station. Frankfurt Airport Terminal 1 is served by a shuttle bus running every 15 minutes by Messe Frankfurt, which transports visitors to the exhibition grounds. In the neighborhood of 15 minutes.

Where to stay

Messe Frankfurt is an ideal trade show destination. There are several hotels in Frankfurt and the surrounding area. There's something for everyone, from budget inns to five-star hotels. In the 15-minute walking radius of Messe Frankfurt, there are 5,000 beds.

Stand Space rent

For the time being, the minimum size of a stand is 12m2. The stand size will be recalculated if the requirements on cleanliness and protection. The stand space rent varies from €199  to  €426 depending on the side opens, and adjacent space.

How to arrange the stall 

There are some guidelines you must keep in mind while arranging the stalls. 

The following types of construction are subject to approval regardless of size:

  • Stands with two floors of exhibit space
  • More than 4m-high walls
  • Ceilings that are completely sealed off
  • Floors that rise over 0.20 m
  • Formations made of glass
  • Components that can be moved
  • Rooms for spectators in a theatre
  • Outdoor installations

Stands that do not include any of the above features and measure less than 100 m² are not subject to approval.

Inspections are required for the following categories of construction, as said by an architect/engineer:

  • Custom-designed buildings
  • Buildings with two stories
  • Stands for trade shows in the open air
  • Rooms for spectators in a theatre

If there is no previous inspection, the engineering firm contracted by Messe Frankfurt will conduct the inspection. The cost will be charged to the exhibitor separately.

Other costs to keep in mind
